Modular palletising systems for just-in-time delivery to assembly lines

Palletizing

In the manufacture of medical devices Palletising of IEF Werner shall ensure that the blanks which are to the production line on the attached assembly line oriented transported, delivered and fed in a predetermined position of the assembly line. After the assembly bring the palletizing the finished parts back on the assembly line.

Modular palletising systems for just-in-time delivery to assembly lines
The palletizer type Vario stack are built open and modular and can be adapted easily to the individual production.

In a production factory automation specialist IEF Werner GmbH three fully automated production lines for manufacturing of medical devices has developed. Directly affiliated with it ever, an assembly line.
Palletising quickly and easily integrated into existing structures

To transport the raw parts for assembly lines and after the installation again pick up, are located in each production line palletising type Vario stack of the IEF Werner GmbH, the customer, they say, have opted for this palletizer, because they are flexible and compact in its dimensions and would be integrated easily into existing production structure. IEF Werner 2006-2010 provided for each of the three production lines each with three palletizing for just in time manufacturing.

The palletizing Vario stack with its compact dimensions 1040 mm × 970 mm × 2120 mm (L x D x H) are characterized particularly by its modularity. So that they can easily be tailored to different applications.

The pallet system can be pallets up to a size of 600 mm × 400 mm × 150 mm (W x L x H) and a maximum range of 10 kg weight was added. The pallet changing time with this system is 6 sec

The inclusion of blanks plastic pallets come with the dimensions 600 mm × 400 mm × 80 mm are used. These are the five lines, each pallet 18 places available. Each nest can be filled five times.

Per pallet can be captured thus 450 components. In general, a first column in layers fully loaded or unloaded before a column are changed. Each component is stored reported to the master control - indicating the column, row and position.

just in time breakthrough

Just-In-Time Breakthrough: Implementing the New Manufacturing BasicsJust-in-time production (JIT) is receiving widespread recognition among US executives as the manufacturing system that helped make Japan a major competitor. With its proven capacity to streamline the manufacturing process, lower inventory, and improve product quality, JIT may be the basis for a renaissance in American manufacturing. This book details exactly what JIT is, how to implement it, and how to make it work in the context of American business and culture. The authors discuss how to assess opportunities for change with JIT, how to develop and plan the necessary changes in production and management, and ways of motivating middle management and other employees in a JIT system. Relying on examples of companies that have implemented JIT, such as Hewlett-Package, the text clears up several misconceptions about the process while providing managers with models for putting it into action.

lean manufacturing

The subject of lean manufacturing will be administered by me. Soon there are articles to be posted here.

just in time

Just in time devised as manufacturing philosophy by Taiichi Ohno. We will present more on this blog on the subject of just in time production.
